Reading this ranking

Median sale price per square foot for homes sold from March to May 2026, from Redfin's sales records, rolled up from ZIP codes to neighborhoods by housing units. Redfin publishes the figure by ZIP code from the sales it records, single-family homes, condos and small multi-unit buildings together. Each neighborhood's number is the figure for its ZIP codes weighted by the homes in each, so neighborhoods that share a ZIP code land close together, and an area shows no figure when fewer than 10 homes sold in its ZIPs. The San Francisco row averages Redfin's three monthly citywide medians by the number of sales in each month. Neighborhoods with fewer than 500 homes are left out.
